ABOUT ME

Shuran Yang is a freelance photographer. She was born in the small city of Zunyi in southwest China, moved with her parents to Guangzhou (southeast China), and now immigrates to Australia with her parents again and settles in Melbourne. It is her permanent relocation that makes her genuinely interested in cultural exploration in various places.
In daily life, Shuran habitually records and shares what she sees and hears with the camera. This habit has kept her coming to Australia, and she systematically learned the professional knowledge of photography when she was in high school. Driven by her interest, she chose to continue her study of photography at RMIT.
During her study in RMIT, Shuran made culture comparison in Australia based on her life experience in Australia and the cultural conflicts he encountered, which was captured and published by the magazine Capture. The year that won the ninth prize in 2019 Australasia's Top Emerging photographers' student category.
Shuran will continue to walk the path of photography with her camera.
